A wonderfully peaceful, loving, and pause-worthy book. Each page or two is a short reading, quote, and verse, with such sections as His Friendship, His Preparation, His Hope, His Unconditional Love, and His People.

His Treasure – Gems of love from Your King by Sheri Rose Shepherd

His Treasure–a beautiful collection of letters…a pattern of precious gems reflecting His love.” From the back cover, this statement says everything about the book that needs to be said.
In fact, Hun briefly perused His Treasure and said, “I’m impressed. This book is well thought out, very tasteful. This is a very well put together book.” Hun said it all in those two sentences.

From the cover, to the readings, the paper, the images, and the layout, His Treasure is a book I look forward to opening. The book’s cover is both sturdy and soft when picking it up to read. It’s also small enough in size to take along in a purse when leaving the house for a day or so, without taking up much space.

His Treasure open

Although written specifically for women, His Treasure is a book that any person can pick up to ground themselves during a rough spot in life, with quotes like,

“You are not called to blend in but to stand out like a star”(p. 115)

and

“When you have no idea what to do…be still and wait on God.”(p. 76)

His Treasure: Gems of Love from Your King would be a wonderful gift that I’d give to my mother or sister. In each of the letters from Our Heavenly Father, Ms. Shepherd has created a voice of love, devotion, forgiveness, and patience from which to draw strength, encouragement, and peace for the reader.

Such is the case of His Comfort:

“My Daughter,

I know life is not fair. In My Word, I warn you that your faith will undergo trials and testing. Don’t look at what you see; hang on to what you know to be true about Me. If you ask for it, I will give you spiritual sight so you can see your way through the dark days of life. If pain has burrowed its way inside your soul, unlock the prison door that holds your heart hostage and invite Me in. I know it may be hard, but it will be far harder to stay locked up and alone. I will lovingly wait outside the door until you are ready to have Me escort you out onto the path that leads to abundant life and freedom. When My Spriti abides in you, He will help you see beyond the pain and find the passion to comfort others in need. It’s time to be free!

Love,

Your Father, who makes everything right”(p. 134)

Sheri Rose Shepherd also has a series, His Princess, which are love letters for women addressing all facets of women’s lives. Her books can be found either at Sheri Rose Shepherd or on Amazon.
