I’m almost completely caught up. Earlier this week was definitely a frenzy, but I’m back on track and I even have posts scheduled (either in my head or actually written) for the rest of this month and the beginning of next! I’m feeling pretty good about myself and this blog right now, so I’ll try not to kill that feeling by pressuring myself to find something else to do (wink wink). Who knows, if I keep this pace, I just might feel the need to continue doing #reverb13 for the rest of the month. No, wait! I have to go out of town in 2 weeks. Oh, and did I mention Baby somehow has contracted a cold. Mama is definitely very sad (about the cold, not going out of town). Now, to get on with this post…
Blowing Out the Candles: You’re another year older! How did you celebrate the passage of another year? Did it turn out the way that you had hoped?
I didn’t have any expectations for my birthday this year. A few years ago when I turned 30, I had some expectations and I celebrated big. I went on my first ever cruise with a couple friend-girls. The trip went well. Many new things happened. I thought I’d go on a cruise at least once a year after that. I haven’t been on another one yet. Interestingly enough, I’m actually not too unhappy about that. I’d trade a cruise on a ship any day for a “land cruise” (traveling and foresting) with Hun and Baby!
But, this year. Nope, just hung out with Hun and Baby. They both “Happy Birthday(ed)” me soon after midnight struck. I received many big hugs and kisses from them both. Time together is worth much more than any gift I could have received!
