I’m participating in Reverb 2013 and taking a look back on the year.

Surprise: What surprised you the most this year?

I had to think about this one for a few minutes, what with the year being consumed with figuring out so many things. I do believe though, I was most surprised at how much and how well Hun’s family has incorporated me into theirs. This incorporation has been surprising all around. I tend not to understand these things very well. Maybe because my family’s not very close and goes from trying to becoming more divided. It’s a weird thing, my family’s relationship. Nonetheless, Hun’s family taking to me so well, including me, wanting me is something I wasn’t really expecting. Of course maybe they’re just being nice, but it seems really rather genuine to me. Hun’s mom even asked about my birthday because she didn’t want to forget it, her words. That, to me, that’s big. So, yes, Hun’s family incorporating me into theirs easily, without issue or drama, was the most surprising thing to me this year.
