This post is over a month late, yet it still needed to be published.

Baby Boy,

These last 11 months have been interesting months. I’m sure much more interesting to you as you learn the new world around you, than I can even imagine.

It’s amazing that we all have gone through the stage of life you’re in now, yet remember absolutely nothing about it. I know the reasons, but it still amazes me. Truly, life is amazing. I hope we’re instill this belief in you. The belief that life is amazing and that any and every thing truly is possible.

Above that though, dear child, You are amazing!

You are such a delightful little boy. You’re fast-moving into toddler-hood. You’re moving so quickly I can barely keep track of the days. To me, it’s almost like you’re a toddler now. I mean, you’re walking and talking so much. You’re running. We can definitely see more and more of your personality shining through. The amount of energy, entertainment, and love you exhibit is inspiring.

The fascination you have with what seems the simplest of things is a delight to watch. The determination that you demonstrate when you really want something, or at least want to try something, although frustrating, makes me smile.

You’re also so adaptable. These last couple of months have been turmoil, being away from your Papa for days at a time, going to new and different places, and spending time with part of your extended family. You’ve held in there though, so long as I wasn’t too far away. You’ve been as much of a delight to others and they have been for you.

I’m proud of you, son. Proud of how you navigate through life already. Proud of the way you even put up with me as I continue to learn what this motherhood gig is all about. You’re truly an awesome child and I’m so glad to have you in my life!

Love Always and Forever,

Momma

I’m slightly forlorn that we cut an inch off a few weeks ago…they’re just not the same to me anymore. I guess that’s what happens when your baby grows up…things just aren’t the same :sniff sniff:
