One of the best ways to have perspective, for me, is to remember the things I’m grateful for. There have been times when I’ve gotten stuck in negativity that I’ve done a quick gratitude list (in my head or with another) and started on the path of releasing that negativity. Gratitude lists help me to remember what’s beautiful and to remain present in my life.

Each week, Laurel Regan’s Gratitude linkup over at Alphabet Salad is a way for me to share a few of the things I’m grateful for with others.

A few of the things I’m grateful for today are:

  • Early morning quiet and calm to work.
  • Having yarn to complete the rug I’m working on.
  • Getting some preliminary packing done.
  • Participating in the 31 Days of Photography challenge with Amber at Joy Dare this month!
  • Joy Dare Blog
  • Receiving good news.
  • Clean clothes.
  • Working with my friend and doula on a project we’re creating for area families!
  • A turn in the weather.
  • Being almost done with Baby Boy’s sweater!!
  • Sharing and creating plans with Hun.
  • Baby Boy’s play and the absolute joy on his face!
  • Warm clothes for us all.
  • Putting aside an annoyance for its lack of true importance.
  • Positive outlook.
  • The prospect of learning a new crochet stitch!
  • Having all of our bills paid.
  • Hugs and kisses from Baby Boy.

Do you do a gratitude list? How about joining us and writing your own!

I was just saying how I would love to connect with more bloggers who had more in common with me and when I came over here I was stunned. You are learning and working on crochet! I could definitely use much more yarn. We are on a tight budget so any bit I’m able to buy each time my husband gets paid I’m always very grateful for. I’m very excited though to be learning and creating projects now. Are you expecting because you said your friend and doula. Doulas I feel like are my ideal midwives. I love how they are just there to support you. Since I love the idea of free birth, having the support of another woman or doula is very much a perfect idea of support in a pregnancy and birth for me. For now, I’m actually doing great with just my husband since he’s all I have. 23 weeks today! So we are moving right along. 🙂

Connecting with other bloggers that I have more things in common with is Definitely a goal of mine. I’ve found a few here and there, which has certainly been nice. I’ve been up and down on blogging in the last couple months or so and my content has likely suffered, but I’m doing much better now and so finding others who are like-minded should get a bit easier!

I get the tight budget thing, much of my yarn projects here lately have been from yarn I had before. Sometimes my projects can get a little stalled what with the budget issue, but I’m always so happy and grateful when I can complete a project!

We’re not currently expecting, though I wouldn’t be all that surprised if we are in the next few months. Our doula has become a friend of mine now and we’ve been in pretty constant contact the last few months. We’re even thinking of projects to work on together in the realm of natural birth community. I’m not sure what midwives are available in your area, but I know we so adore our midwife (LPM) and she was such a wonderful supporter, encourager, and all-around great woman. I absolutely loved our free-standing birth center, fully run by midwives and hope to birth there again one day!

I’m very much an introvert, so Hun is my biggest and best support much of the time as well. He was so incredible during our pregnancy and birth with Baby Boy and I know I’m truly blessed to have him in my life.

Here’s more positivity and the rest of a wonderful pregnancy! 😀

Thanks so much for this gratitude link-up. I’m not doing a 31 day series, but it did prompt me to write about 31 things I thank God for. Happy to have found your blog. You’ve made a follower out of me.
