This week has been relatively quiet for us. We’ve done some packing and playing, but mostly just hanging out together at home. I’ve once again gotten back into a bit of a groove in taking my vitamins and probiotics every day. This is especially good since I’ve been pretty inconsistent over the last couple of months. My water intake is better, too. I’m happy about that. I love water, but for whatever reason my intake has floundered from time to time in the last couple months, too. Nonetheless, these are both things I’m happy about.
Our food intake has been great. We didn’t go out to eat anywhere all week. That means all meals have been homecooked! Yay! Next week, I already know this won’t be the case, but more on that next week. We’ve gone back to having a good snack in the late evenings, usually some cheese and eggs. Sometimes cheese or peanut butter and sourdough.
Sleep has been good for me this week. I could probably do a little bit more though. I likely need it, especially since both Hun and Baby Boy have some sniffle action going on. I’m honestly not sure how or why either of them have the sniffling and mucous, because I can’t think how Baby Boy would have picked something up. Nonetheless, they both have something going on. (Side note: I was bragging, in conversation with Hun only, that Baby Boy doesn’t get sick minus that one cold early this year when I also had a cold. So it very well could be that my Higher Power sent me a message about bragging.)
I’m so excited to start brewing Kombucha and Whole Wheat Sourdough after we move. I hope the move goes smoothly and we can get things done quickly. I also hope the rain holds off. We’ve had rain this week and moderate to cool temperatures. Maybe when we move we will have decent temperatures and good weather.
Also, since some time after we move I should be getting back to the gym. Yes, the gym. That place I didn’t want to spend money on without using. The place I haven’t been for a few months now. I plan to get back to the gym after we move. Somehow I have to make this work, for more than one reason. Well, anyway I will need more gear. I recently found Alala, an activewear company. Let me tell you, their style is really modern, yet classy, fun and sporty. The company, run by two women out of New York City, wants each woman to achieve both style and functionality all the time – home, work, gym, or play. From their website,
“From an early morning spin class to back to back meetings to a late dinner with friends, we are redefining the meaning of living an active life.”
And the name, yep from a Greek goddess and with this to say about their belief in women’s abilities:
“We live our lives with the audacity to believe that we can do it all and have it all. The universe is our oyster and every day is another opportunity to make our mark on the world.”
Don’t believe they’re hip and cool, yet functional and stylish, just check out a few of my favorite pieces:
Plus! Right now, they’re having a $200 gift card giveaway to their shop! Just use the Rafflecopter form below to enter. Giveaway ends Wednesday, November 8th, so hurry and enter!
