We typically keep things really low-key when it comes to holidays and celebrating them. In fact, Valentine’s Day was the very first holiday Hun and I had together. It’s a good thing we both believe in being low-key for holidays, because we didn’t actually do anything.
As someone who enjoys crafting, I often will come up with an idea for something and create it with a special event in mind. This year, Hun requested some non-slip slippers to use inside. We have wood floors in almost every room in the house and the use of slippers are so helpful in winter. Since Valentine’s was on the horizon when Hun requested the slippers, I knew that would be his gift this year.
Still, I wanted to make sure Hun had something from Monkey Boy this Valentine’s 2015, too! I find that giving a gift is so much fun and fills me with excitement. I want to impart this aspect of gift giving to Monkey Boy, so this year I helped Monkey Boy work on this simple and easy paper craft.
But, I also have these slipper socks for Hun, which will be a surprise! He can quickly slide shoes over them to take out the trash without being cold!
Thanks to Lisa Auch for this quick and easy slipper sock pattern!
