Welcome to the March 2015 Carnival of Natural Parenting: Day in the Life

This post was written for inclusion in the monthly Carnival of Natural Parenting hosted by Hobo Mama and Code Name: Mama. This month our participants have given us a special glimpse into their everyday.

So, about a month ago, I guest posted with Echo of Domain of the Mad Mommy.   In that post, I described a day at home with Monkey Boy?

Well, guess what. This month for Carnival of Natural Parenting, we’re sharing what our full days look like. Of course I could have gone the easy route and just re-used a post, but what’s the fun in that? Besides, isn’t just about every day in motherhood different?

This time, I figured I’d show what our full days look like through pictures. So here goes…

On a typical morning, I wake up with some part of Monkey Boy’s body wrapped around me!

Next, I settle in for work with a hot cup of cocoa!working, cocoa, morning, work, blogging, blog, day in the life, pictures

Some days I like to work in the relative darkness as Baby Boy sleeps down the hall. On a good day, I’ll be here for a few hours, plugging away at various tasks.

Baby Boy is now serenading me in the afternoon! He does so much and I’m usually more busy trying to keep up than not…

Usually around lunch time, I spend some time in the kitchen. Some days I make condiments, some I cook and/or soak dry beans, some I whip up a nice treat. Often though, a slow cooker dinner will need to be started, if it wasn’t already done.

This is also the time I make any beauty products that I can’t wait on the weekend to make.

Now it’s the nap time struggle of the day…..

Some days I end up with a couch that’s devoid of Monkey Boy’s body, which means no nap!

Some days he sleeps standing up!

After Hun gets home, we sit down for dinner.

But sometimes, if Monkey Boy didn’t nap during the day, he’ll fall asleep at the table!

Our evenings are a mish-mash of things. We get tons of help, interruptions, and fun with Monkey Boy around!

Once it’s time, we all start getting ready for bed. Monkey Boy loves to brush his teeth and hair while we’re doing the same.

Off to bed we go to prepare for another day! I hope you enjoyed this photo montage of a typical, yet full day in our family!
