As I look back through the month of August, I notice that we both had a ton going on and also not. Yes, there was quite a bit of rain. Each week in August, we had at least 1-2 days of rain or rainstorms come through. That’s not really typical for where we live, but I’ll take it. This has meant the temperatures haven’t been crazy and when it wasn’t raining or threatening to rain the days have really been beautiful.

Throughout much of the month of August, our family has been waiting on some good news and wondering what to do if the news didn’t come. And, just as we’d really started to lose hope, we received good news – Hun is starting a new job! It’s always so interesting to me how our Higher Power comes “right on time”, to quote a good friend of mine.

In other news, we’re 3/4 through this pregnancy and still hanging in there.

I’ve also talked about some questions I’ve been having and sharing about my entry into motherhood for the first time.

The Life Skills: It’s Never Too Early series launched and I’ve shared about how we handle vacuuming, restaurant behavior, laundry, dishes, and car and small engine repair with Baby Boy.

I did have some nice successes in the crafts room this month as well.

And, of course, I participated in the Carnival of Natural Parenting and talked about what Lifelong Learning means to me.

And before the month let out, I also shared one of our newest learning adventures at home, gardening.

I’d also had a bit of enough with the #blacklivesmatter movement neglecting to acknowledge black lives that weren’t at the hands of law enforcement (link here).

Now I’m trying to remember if we had a lot of rain or not!
So awesome about how far you are in the pregnancy. It can look like a pregnancy is going so fast from the outside, but I remember feeling like my second one was forever. And truly – 3/4 of a year is a lot!

3/4 of a year really is quite a bit of time! In some ways it does seem like this pregnancy is going by, but on days like today when I’m so Super tired it seems like it’s taking a long time. 🙂
