Oh the joys of motherhood and parenting.  There are so many good things.  But also so many things that are repetitive.  Like cooking and cleaning.

Since we strive to eat a whole foods diet, there are always dishes to be done.  Much of the time, Monkey Boy and I have eggs for breakfast, which creates at least 6 dishes. We also make or heat food for lunch, another 6 or so dishes.  Then there’s dinner, creating no less than 100 dishes (maybe more like 20 or so, but who’s really counting).   By the end of the day, the sink is plenty full of dishes.

The floor is also in a state of crumbs and sticky, but that’s another post for another time. Today we’re talking about dishes.

In our house, we’re also talking about hand washing.

Yep, every day.

And since we wash by hand, it’s important we have a dish liquid to use. We also don’t fill the sink basin and then scrub. It might take more water, but we wash each dish separately, so we need a soap that will wash many dishes before needing a new squirt on the sponge or towel.

The dishes lately have been a lime scented breeze, thanks to a new product included in my #supermomvoxbox!

Palmolive is an affordable product and has been around for over 100 years. Did you know that their dish liquid has just hit it’s 50 year mark this year? There are so many different varieties, but the newest, Palmolive Fusion has been enhanced with baking soda, in ultra concentrated form.

The first time I used it, I noticed it’s power. As a high sudsing product our many glass dishes sparkled with cleanliness. The gentle lime scent lingered was pleasant, but not in an overpowering way.

But, since the #palmolivefusion also boasts it’s ability to work on 24 hour old food dirt, I decided to put it to the test. On a recent Saturday, we didn’t wash directly after dinner. This results in food being stuck and I’d usually need to scrub really hard to get them sparkling again. But, not this time! I used that Palmolive and wa-la, the dishes were clean and I was happy!

And you know what else? When I’m done with all this handwashing, my hands aren’t too dry.  That’s great because the cracking and peeling hurts! Anything that doesn’t irritate my hands and sensitive skin is always a win!

So, for nice clean dishes try the new #palmolivefusion line of dish soaps (found at Walmart, Target, or on Amazon).

I did receive this product free for review purposes from Palmolive and Influenster, though all opinions are mine.

We use that in both scents! We do have a dishwasher but it’s soothing to hand wash so I only like to use the dishwasher after parties. I did a recipe/post for Palmolive and we’ve been using the products since.

Hand washing really can be so soothing. I find that if I’m upset or annoyed and start washing dishes, I’m less so and sometimes it even dissipates completely.
