I don’t know about you, but for me, November and December always seem to fly by so fast. They go so much faster than the first 10 months of the year. Those months can certainly fly too, just not quite with the same whirly power and bustling activity November and December bring. I suppose it’s the excitement and busy-ness of the holidays, as well as the knowledge the end of the year is near and there are new beginnings just on the horizon. Somehow, in Motherhood there’s also this stranger awareness of time passing. The boys are growing and changing daily of course, but with another year going by, I seem even more aware. Nonetheless, as we enter this week of preparing for Thanksgiving dinner, I’m also (once again) noticing that we’re fully past the middle of November already!
In just a few days, with any luck, most all of us will be seated around a table with friends and/or family enjoying a wonderful and lovingly prepared meal. Or maybe you’ll be at home with your own family, but you want to make something special. If that’s the case, then this is the perfect post for you. I rounded up just a few recipes to make a special Thanksgiving dinner even if you’re unable to be with friends and/or family for not a ton of effort!
Citrus & Herb Butter Roasted Turkey from The Suburban Soapbox.
Parmesan Roasted Carrots from Your Home Based Mom.
Green Bean Bacon Bundles from The Speckled Palate.
Garlic Parmesan Browned Butter Mashed Potatoes from Cafe Delites.
