I want to sing that Mary J. Blige song, No More Drama, because our evenings are so much smoother and without the drama when it comes to Monkey Boy.
A recent trip to visit family included some animals at a barnyard zoo, some paddle boats on a lake, and lots of fun and sunshine!
Turtle Boy is now 8 months old! He’s still a delight, though so very different from when Monkey Boy was his age.
Things are getting better. My dad will always be with me. We hike and I explore the legacy that is me.

This is the first year I will throw Monkey Boy a party for his birthday. I’m so happy to do so, even while my heart still aches about my Dad. My letter to Monkey Boy for his birthday expresses my joy, awe, and wishes for his 3rd year.
Last week, I flaked. It wasn’t on purpose. Though in the end I’m more grounded. Hun and I spent time talking, as we had a simple, small adventure.
Life is a compilation of small snippets, where we have the opportunity to live and breathe, smell the smells, travel, love, and just be. We can do it alone. Or we can do it together. I choose together.
